The Basque University System Act 3/2004, of 25th February, establishes that the Government may establish salary complements for teaching and research staff, both tenured as well as non-tenure, in function of criteria related to teaching, research and administration that it deems adequate and which can also include linguistic-based merits subsequent to their evaluation by Uniqual.
The Uniqual Administration Board based on Act 209/2006, of 17th October, approved the procedures and evaluation criteria related to salary complements on 10th December 2008, which are detailed in the Protocol for the Evaluation and Allocation of Additional Salary Complements for Teaching and Research Staff of the University of the Basque Country.
The Uniqual Teacher Salary Complements Evaluation Programme therefore refers to the necessary evaluation of teaching research and administration activity in order to assign individual salary complements to teaching and research staff of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
